About Marianske Lazne

A town in a park and a park in the town, this too is a frequent description of Marianske Lazne. Many an artist and relaxation lover grew fond of this world-famous spa, visiting one of the many hotels to absorb new strength or find peacful inspiration. The town is situated in the west of the Czech Republic and falls in the renowned spa triangle – along with Karlovy Vary and Frantiskovy Lazne.

BALNEOLOGY IN MARIANSKE LAZNE

Balneology has a great tradition in the Czech Republic and this treatment and relaxing method is popular with people of all ages. The spa care is based on state-of-the-art medical procedures, as well as scientific knowledge of effects of the natural resources – gases, peloids and mineral waters.

Marianske Lazne is an illustrious example of this approach to treatment. Over 40 mineral water springs exist in their immediate vicinity. Some are very salty, others are classic acidulous waters, and others have a high iron content. Most frequently they are used for the drinking cure. This is what cold carbonic acidulous waters (8–10 °C) are used for. They are at the same time used for carbon baths, gas baths, and injections. What diseases can be managed with mineral springs?
