International Fryderyk Chopin Festival
Cultural event of international importance. Festival of chamber and symphonic music lasting for a week and associated with a rich accompanying program. Every two years, the Festival also includes an International Piano Competition of young talent. The Fryderyk Chopin Festival is the biggest and most important festival of the kind in Europe.
Marianske Lazne Municipal Theatre
Even the very building of the theatre, constructed in the Art Nouveau style, is worth seeing. Apart from theatrical performances, concerts of classical music, operetta, and melodies from musicals are held here.
West Bohemian Symphonic Orchestra
Marianske Lazne is the seat of the West Bohemian Symphonic Orchestra, which has a long-standing tradition in the town. Apart from symphonic music, the orchestra focuses specifically on opera and operetta music. During the spa season, regular promenade concerts are held for the Marianske Lazne spa visitors. Marianske Lazne Municipal Museum
The museum is located in the oldest house of the spa centre built in 1818. The house hosted even Johann Wolfgang Goethe during one of his Marianske Lazne stays. Visitors can enjoy the reconstruction of rooms where Goethe was staying. Furthermore, the exhibition focuses in particular on life of the Marianske Lazne region, emphasizing the exploitation of spa springs. For more information, please see www.muzeum-ml.cz.
