The Cross Spring is the oldest spring in Marianske Lazne. Dr. Nehr who discovered Marianske Lazne for balneology, used primarily the Cross Spring. This spring gives very salty and highly mineralized water. It contains 10 grams of mineral salt per litre. The Cross Spring is used in particular for diseases of the gall bladder, liver, pancreas, and especially against constipation. Patients suffering from problems with blood pressure and heart must consult using the Cross Spring with their physicians, as this very salty water retains water in the body, which makes it inappropriate for hypertension and heart problems.
When is it accessible and to whom?
The spring is freely available to the public; the pavilion opens daily from 6.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m..
Where can the spring be found?
The Cross Spring can be found in the Cross Spring Pavilion on the colonnade. Please refer to the map.
