The spring supports the treatment of the following diseases:
- Kidney and urinary tract diseases
The Karolina Spring is mineral water containing a large quantity of magnesium, though less than the Rudolph Spring. The Karolina Spring also contains 2.5times more sodium than the Rudolph Spring. The Karolina Spring, in the Nehr’s times called the New Spring, was brought to the colonnade again at the end of the last century. The Karolina Spring is used specifically for urology patients, for renal stones, in particular if the composition of these renal stones is unknown.
When is it accessible and to whom?
The spring is freely accessible to the public in the Karolina Spring Pavilion. Only during the period from October to April (the winter season) the pavilion is closed. In the Cross Spring Pavilion, the spring is available daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where can the spring be found?
The Karolina Spring can be found in the Karolina Spring and in Cross Spring Pavilions on the colonnade. Please refer to the map.
The drinking cure is a complex process, it should always be considered that a certain kind of water is suitable for specific problems but it can be highly inappropriate for other disorders. The drinking therapy must always be consulted with a physician because improperly applied drinking cure may cause harm.
